FOR THE COMMUNITY
Biosolids are the end product of the waste water treatment process, and when treated correctly, can be used beneficially as fertiliser and soil conditioner.
The benefits of biosolids reuse include:
- Improvement in crop production
- Better soil structure
- Increased water infiltration and retention in the soil
- Rehabilitation of land affected by human interaction
- Provides economic incentives
- Reduces landfill contributions
As biosolids are derived from wastewater sludge which contains organic materials, strict guidelines must be followed to ensure the product is treated effectively to remove any pathogens before application. Loop Organics ensures all of its operations abides with the relevant state biosolids guidelines.
